The 2026 Spring Fellowship offers the opportunity for students from across the state to participate remotely and learn with Loud Light about this year's legislative session. Participants will learn in detail how the public policy process works, what policies the Legislature is passing, what informs legislators' decisions, and what current issues are being addressed during the Kansas Legislative Session.

Loud Light’s Spring Program allows students to experience state government on a first-hand basis. They will (virtually) attend and take notes from committee meetings and floor debates, with some in-person opportunities provided as well. Fellows will further develop their research and communication skills, gaining a high level of comprehension of the legislative process with the ability to break down complex topics to discuss with their peers. Fellows will also have the ability to earn college credit and make contacts for other internships, government jobs, political non-profit organizations, and campaigns.
